Release: Mitsubishi Materials: Indonesia copper smelter resumption

(21 December 2006) - Mitsubishi Materials Corporation (MMC) announces that PT. Smelting, a consolidated subsidiary of MMC in Indonesia, which had temporarily suspended production at its Gresik copper smelter since October 6 due to a mechanical breakdown at the facilities of its dedicated oxygen supplier PT. Gresik Gases Indonesia (?PTGGI?), a subsidiary of The Linde Group, an industrial gas and engineering company based in Germany, resumed operation on December 20 with the restoration of PTGGI?s oxygen supply facilities on the same day.
