1. The gas pipeline leak in Indonesia has not affected SembCorp Gas? supply of natural gas to its 51 industrial customers.
2. ?SembCorp Gas is maintaining continuous and uninterrupted supply of natural gas to our industrial customers. We have been in contact with the pipeline operator, ConocoPhillips Indonesia, since yesterday, November 14, 2003, when the leak occurred. The gas inflow, though reduced, is sufficient to meet the demands of our industrial customers. We are working with ConocoPhillips to restore full gas supply to our power generating and industrial customers,? says Francis Gomez, Director, SembCorp Gas.
3. In addition to the power generating companies, SembCorp Gas has 51 other customers in industries such as manufacturing, electronics and food processing located on Jurong Island and the Jurong and Tuas industrial estates.
4. SembCorp Gas, Singapore?s first commercial importer and distributor of natural gas, imports 325 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of natural gas from West Natuna Sea in Indonesia via a 640-kilometre sub-sea pipeline to SembGas? receiving terminal in Jurong Island.
