May 13, 2005 ? Oropa is pleased to announce further gold mineralization intersected in diamond drilling at its Sihayo 1 North deposit, North Sumatra, Indonesia.

Diamond drill hole SHDD054 intersected:
2m @ 1.35g/t Au from 12m,
2m @ 2.09g/t Au from 83m and
14m @ 3.11g/t Au from 94m

Mineralisation was encountered in hydrothermal breccia zones displaying varying degrees of silica alteration and sulphide mineralisation. The breccias are hosted within a limestone unit and form the principal exploration target at Sihayo.

SHDD054 was designed as an infill hole to provide confidence in the continuity of mineralisation and may also be utilised for metallurgical test work.

Drilling is ongoing and will step out towards grid east to test for extensions to sub-horizontal mineralisation below Tertiary sediment cover. This next phase of drilling will largely be outside the current resource envelope. (end of release)

Editor?s note: Australian mining company Oropa Limited has 75 percent stake in Pungkut gold project, where Sihayo is located, with state miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk holds the balance.
