Release: Panax: Federal government supports Australian geothermal developers in Indonesia

(August 04, 2011)--Panax Geothermal Limited was pleased to participate in a series of meetings and functions in Jakarta this week as part of the visit to Indonesia of the Australian Government?s Minister for Resources, Energy and Tourism, the Honourable Martin Ferguson.

Minister Ferguson was in Jakarta for three days of meetings with senior Indonesian Government ministers to discuss a number of areas of co-operation.

Many of the discussions centred on how Australia and Indonesia can co-operate on areas relating to geothermal exploration and development, with the aim of forging stronger ties between the two countries in the important area of energy security across the Asia-Pacific region.

Panax was pleased to participate in several private and ?round-table? meetings either held by or facilitated by Minister Ferguson. These meetings reinforced the support of the Federal Government for Australian companies undertaking geothermal development activities in Indonesia, as Australian companies progress their portfolio of geothermal projects in Indonesia into development and production.
