Release: PGN: PGN distribution & transmission networks unaffected by earth quake

(Jakarta, dec.27, 2004) The Sunday?s tremor (fifth strongest since 1900) did not have any impact on PGN?s distribution activities in North Sumatra and transmission facilities in Central Sumatra.
Currently, PGN owns and operates distribution network in Medan, North Sumatra and a transmission pipeline to serve Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) in Duri, located approximately 500 km south of Medan.
All of our operation activities in Medan Distribution and Grissik-Duri Transmission are not affected by the earthquake and are running well.
On behalf of PGN we would like to convey our deepest condolence for all the victims of massive sea surges triggered by major earthquake under the sea in north of Indonesia. (end of release)
