Singapore - October 24, 2005 - With the addition of a Bahasa Indonesia language SupplyCentre platform, Quadrem customers can now conduct electronic procurement and sourcing initiatives in eight different languages, the others being English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.

"Indonesia is an important expansion market for Quadrem as we increase our presence in Asia, and we're focused on building a large community of Indonesian trading partners," said Choon Boon Heng, Regional Director, Quadrem Asia. "Feedback from buyers and suppliers indicates a strong requirement for language localisation. We are confident the new Bahasa platform will greatly facilitate e-transactions in Indonesia."

The ability to conduct e-procurement in Bahasa Indonesia is very important to Quadrem's customer PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) in support of its initiative to trade with local Indonesian suppliers while standardizing procurement processes globally. Newmont uses Quadrem to automate and centralise purchasing for its global operations in Australia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Peru, and the United States.

"We are committed to procuring products from Indonesian suppliers while using e-business to streamline supply chain functions. Quadrem's Bahasa transaction platform enables PTNNT to address both agendas in synchronization," said Peter Ferrigno, Purchasing Manager for PTNNT. "The Bahasa platform opens up e-business opportunities to both suppliers and buyers in the growing mining industry of Indonesia and beyond its borders." (end of release)
