Release: Rig 4 Apexindo completed a record breaking single digit well

(12 May 2009)--At the end of April 2009 Rig 4 completed Awi 2-3 well for Chevron Geothermal Salak Ltd. (Chevron) in a record breaking time of 9.6 days from spud to rig release. The well which is located at Mount Salak, West Java, was directionally drilled to 5,350 feet. In addition to this achievement, Rig 4 celebrated 5 (five) years drilling operation with no Lost Time Accident (LTA) in the same month.

There has been a lot of geothermal wells drilled worldwide and Apexindo feels that Awi 2-3 well may be the only exploration or production well that has been drilled in less than 10 (ten) days. This achievement places Apexindo in a new performance league.
