Rembang power plant starts receiving coal from suppliers

State electricity firm PLN said it had received first shipments of coal supply for its Rembang 2x315MW power plant in Central Java, which is scheduled to be start commercial operations in November this year.
PLN?s Logistic Manager Pudji Widodo said coal requirement for the power plant will be supplied by PT Arutmin Indonesia and PT Titan Mining, which are each contracted to supply 950,000 tonnes of coal annually to the power plant.
Pudji said coal supply to Rembang will be conducted by 8,000-tonne barges.
Rembang power plant is part of the government?s 10,000-MW power plant development crash program.(godang)
