Repindo to build maritime industrial park

PT Repindo International Maritime Industrial Park plans to build a Rp 10 trillion maritime industrial park in Tanggamus, Semangka Bay, Lampung, Investor Daily reported on Thursday.
Repindo Chief Commissioner Bambang Sujagad said that the company has obtained permit to acquire 3,500 ha of land area, of the total land requirement of about 10,000 ha.
He said that the maritime industrial park, which will be equipped among others with a coal port, is ready to accommodate investors to utilize the facility to develop various industries such as ship yard, and oil and gas related.
State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to utilize the port facility at the maritime because it could accommodate very large crude carrier and the port is equipped with a floating storage and offloading terminal. (*)
