Replacement well Konang-3R drilled: CityView

ASX-listed firm CityView Corporation Limited said that a replacement well Konang-3R in Madura JOB block, onshore East Java has been drilled 3071 feet measured depth or 2918 feet true vertical depth.

?The well is being drilled directionally with a distance of approximately 120 meters at the bottom from the previous well Konang 3,? CityView said in statement on Thursday.

The Konang-3R well has a target depth of 3,600 feet, and was spudded in on Oct. 8, 2006, CityView said on Oct 10.

According to CityView, Halliburton has been commissioned to run a vertical seismic profile electric log so that the formation can be analyzed.

In the meantime, the well will be temporarily suspended for further study of the drilling and geological issues, the company added.

The Madura JOB block is operated by JSX-listed oil firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. CityView owns a direct 2.65 percent interest in the block. (denny)
