Repsol eyes Andaman 1, Andaman 2 blocks

Repsol Indonesia is looking to grab the Andaman 1 and Andaman 2 blocks, offshore Aceh Province, which are part of the 15 oil and gas working areas being offered via tender by the government this year.

A source told Petromindo.com that Repsol has submitted its bids for the two blocks to the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The source added that the company is ready to adopt the new gross split production sharing contract introduced by the government earlier this year.

Ego said late on Tuesday that the ministry has decided to extend the tender deadline of the 15 oil and gas working areas from November 27 to December 31 of this year, pending the issuance of government regulation on tax system of the gross split production sharing contract.
