IDX-listed PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk recently stated its plan to acquire new coal concessions in 2013.
Company president director Pintarso Adijanto told Petromindo.com today that the company is looking for brown fields, with high calorie reserves and full infrastructure facilities with short hauling distance to the nearest available jetties.
"Although we still consider sites with medium calorie reserves," he said.
The company said it has allocated up to 25% of its 2013 capital expenditure, reaching US$2.5 million to finance the acquisition.
Resource Alam currently has three concessions in East Kalimantan and 1 in Central Kalimantan. It targets to sell 4.7 million tons of coal next year mainly to India.
