IDX-listed coal mining firm PT. Resources Alam Indonesia Tbk targets to upgrade value of coal mined from its subsidiary?s PT Insani Bara Perkasa (IBP) by average 10 percent from the last year?s 5,400 kcal/kg (ADB) to between 5,600 and 5,700 kcal/kg to boost revenue from the coal sales this year.

Head of Investor Relation of Resources Alam, Eric Tirtana said that increasing CV of coal would be made among others through blending process with the coal produced by the company?s new blocks which would commence operation this year.

"Our coal quality will be a little bit differ this year as we are starting to open several sub-blocks that would produce the high calorific value of coal,? Eric told CoalAsia Magazine.

"We would have more high CV coal to be blended (with the lower CV) this year."

Currently, the CV of coal produced by Insani Bara Perkasa is ranging from 5,100 kcal/kg adb to 6,300 kcal/kg (ADB).
