Indonesia-listed coal miner PT Resources Alam Indonesia Tbk is set to produce coal up to 9 millions tons in 2013 through its fully owned subsidiary, PT Bara Insani Perkasa in East Kalimantan.
Head of Investor Relations of Resources Alam Eric Tirtana told to Petromindo.com that the company raise the production's target from 6 millions ton of this years's target to 9 millions tons based on the company's organic growth. "Internally we are planning to boost the production up to 9 millions tons in 2013," said Eric to Petromindo.com. The company is producing coal with the CV range from 5,300 to 6,300 kcal/kg.
Last year, the company exported 90 percent of its coal production. Of the total export 70 percent went to China, 20 percent to Korea, 6 percent to India, and 4 percent to other countries. 10 percent of the production was for domestic market. Eric said the company would increase its allocation for domestic market to 20 percent from this year's production.
