IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Resources Alam Indonesia Tbk plans to increase production next year to 4.5 million tons assuming that coal price will continue to improve.

The company, which operates coal mines in East and Central Kalimantan, said in a presentation material on Tuesday, that output for this year has been revised downward to 3.5 million tons from the initial target of 4.2 million tons due to heavy rainfall in the third and fourth quarters.

The company said the higher production next year is possible as it has completed infrastructure facilities, additional output from a number of blocks, and higher stripping ratio in line with improving coal market condition.
