Reswara eyes India as main coal market

Reswara director Harry Asmar said that the company was formulating a long-term strategy to win markets in India which was expected to import more coal to meet the country's rising demand, mainly for its power plants.
Harry said that the constructions of supporting facilities such as port would be commenced next month.
?We are still evaluating the tender. We hope the construction would be made at the end of November that would take between 12 months and 18 months,? Harry said.
Reswara is part of integrated energy business of ABM Investama. The ABM has three businesses namely coal mine, mining contractor services and engineering and logistic service on electricity solution.
Reswara?s concession holder, PT Media Djaya Bersama has coal deposits with the total deposit of 455 million tonnes of coal having calorific value of 5,100-5,300 kcal/kg , of which some 169 million tonnes are mineable reserves.
Harry claimed that the company had received orders of coal from India and Thailand. (giok)
