PT Reswara Minergi Hartama?s Mifa coal project in West Aceh is expected to conduct trial commercial shipment from its port in early December of this year. Reswara, a subsidiary of IDX-listed PT ABM Investama Tbk, has completed its infrastructure development including coal hauling road, coal terminal and floating cranes.

?We expect that the trial commercial shipment in early December this year,? Reswara?s Head of Marketing Hadi Setiadi said to Petromindo.com. He added that its coal projects in Aceh are projected to tap Indian, Sri Lanka and Thailand coal import markets due to close proximity.

Reswara through its subsidiary PT Media Djaya Bersama, which owns coal concessions of PT Mifa Bersaudara and PT Bara Energi Lestari, develops the largest coal project in Aceh. It will produce 5 to 7 million tons of coal next year.

Hadi said that the company will build overland conveyor above the existing coal hauling road if the production is stable and coal market condition improves. The conveyor is expected to ramp up the coal production to 15 million tons per year. The Mifa project is only 12 kilometers away from the coast of the Indian Ocean.
