PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, an integrated coal mining subsidiary company of IDX-listed PT ABM Investama Tbk, will ramp up coal output in 2018. Reswara is estimated to produce more than 8 million tons of coal this year from its mine sites in South Kalimantan and Aceh provinces, the company?s new record since its establishment in November 2010.
?In 2018, we plan to produce up to 9 to 10 tons and hopefully will breach two digits level or more than 10 million tons,? Irfan Setiaputra, President Director of PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, said to petromindo.com on Thursday.
Reswara owns PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA), which holds a mining permit (IUP) in South Kalimantan province and PT Mitra Djaya Bersama which owns PT Mifa Bersaudara and PT Bara Energi Lestari in Aceh province. Irfan stated that coal production from TIA will be approximately 5 million tons in 2018 and from Mifa and BEL is expected to reach more than 4 million tons.
Reswara is focusing on the opportunity to acquire a new producing coal mine in Kalimantan to increase its portfolio and acknowledges that the acquisition process takes time to complete. ?Our foundation in selecting mining permit (IUP) is good corporate governance and cautious decision,? Irfan said.
Reswara also plans to improve the mine optimization in its operating mines, particularly in the Aceh coal projects. The company allocates capital expenditure to among others secure the land acquisition in the operating areas. ?The land acquisition is undergoing to ensure more sustainable operations,? Irfan said.
