Mine and Marketing GM Udaya Kumar told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday that the offtakers are a trader and a cement plant in southern part of Thailand.
Kumar said the extension is to renew current contract which also called for the same volume. The remaining undelivered coal of 30,000 tonnes under the current contract would be shipped this month with 9,000 tonnes barges, he said.
RGT has also secured coal export to India and Pakistan with the volume of one handymax or 35,000-40,000 tonnes per month, he said.
Kumar said currently RGT exports all of its coal production, but the company is also looking for domestic takers.
Kumar also said within the next few month RGT will ramp up production to up to 100,000 tonnes per month from 70,000 tonnes per month currently.
RGT produces coal with CV ranging from 5,800-5,850 Kcal/kg.
RGT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian-owned PT Core Mineral Indonesia, has a concession area measuring 3,000 hectares in North Bengkulu and operates under a mining licence (KP). The company uses Baai port in Bengkulu as loading base. (denny)
