RH Petrogas completes drilling of Klalin-14 development well in Kepala Burung PSC

SGX-listed RH Petrogas Limited said that its wholly owned subsidiaries Petrogas (Basin) Ltd. (PBL) and RHP Salawati Basin B.V. (RHPSB) have drilled the Klalin-14 development well in the Kepala Burung PSC, located in the Sorong area, West Papua.
The company said in a statement obtained Monday that the well encountered 81 feet of total net pay. Recent tests conducted on the well produced a rate of 9.8 MMSCFGD (million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day) and 220 BCPD (barrels of condensate per day) on a 24/64? choke from two zones. The well has been completed and will be put on production soon with 3 MMSCFGD and 150 BCPD, depending on the gas demand.
Klalin-14 was drilled to further develop the large gas/condensate field in the Arar area within the Basin PSC. The group will continue the Klalin field development program with two additional wells scheduled to be drilled before the end of the year.
The Basin PSC has produced around an average of 6168 BOEPD (barrels of oil equivalent per day) in 2012. The success of Klalin-14 will increase the gas and condensate production of the RHP Group. This will also help to meet the increasing gas demand in the area.

Apart from this update on the Basin (Kepala Burung) PSC, the group has recently announced the drilling of Zircon-1 in the Island PSC, which is also located in the West Papua region of Indonesia. Both the Basin and Island PSCs have played an important role as the group?s producing assets, and we will continue to work to add reserves and production in these blocks.?
The company through PBL and RHPSB has an aggregate 60 percent working interest in the Kepala Burung PSC. The other partners are PetroChina International (Bermuda) Ltd. (30%) and PT PertaminaHulu Energi (10%). The consortium, as contractor of Indonesian government operating under the supervision of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, has actively explored and produced oil and gas in the working area.
