RI, ADB sign MoU on clean energy research center

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said signed on Thursday an MoU with Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Steven R. Tabor in Jakarta for the development of clean energy technology and research center.

The center, planned to be located in Bali, will facilitate research, effective investment, and the spread of renewable energy technology by both the public and private sectors.

?The signing of the MoU for the development of clean energy technology and research center plays an important role to support the government efforts to achieve the target of clean energy utilization of up to 25 percent by 2025,? Sudirman said in a statement issued Thursday.

Elsewhere, the statement said that a knowledge partnership dialogue forum has also been set up in the hope to map out investment and collaboration opportunities in relation to clean energy top priorities.
