RI coal output to decline to 400m tons in 2019

Indonesia?s coal production is seen to gradually decline to 400 million tons in 2019 from the 425 million tons estimated for this year, according to the 2015-2019 national coal production plan presented by Director General of Mineral and Coal R. Sukhyar last week.

The production target is one of the two main points of the presentation in accordance with the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

Another key point is that the coal output allocated for the domestic market is projected to increase to 60 percent in 2019 from the estimated 24 percent in 2015.

Meanwhile, non-tax state revenue from the coal sector is projected to reach Rp 52.5 trillion in 2015, Rp 43.8 trillion in 2016, Rp 42.7 trillion in 2018, and Rp 42.1 trillion in 2019.
