RI invites China to cooperate in LNG trade

Minister of Industry and Trade Rini M.S. Soewandi has invited businessmen from China to cooperate with their Indonesian partners in the sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and agricultural products to China.
The minister said she was sure that the business partnership such as through the establishment of a joint venture would further help promote bilateral trade. "Indonesia hopes to become a major supplier of agricultural products and LNG," she said during a meeting with local businessmen in Guangzho, China on Wednesday.
The minister and some 120 Indonesian businessmen were visiting the Chinese province as part of their Chinese business mission.
During the visit in Guangzho, the Chinese committee of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) agreement with its Chinese counterpart on trade and investment. (*)
