RI oil production falls to 958,231 bpd: BPMIGAS

Indonesia?s oil production fell to an average 958,231 barrels per day (bpd) during the January to July period this year from 960,203 bpd during the January to June period, according to the latest data issued by oil and gas regulatory body BPMIGAS.

BPMIGAS?s chairman R. Priyono said in Jakarta on Thursday that the average gas production reached 8,865 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) during the January to July period, this year.

?In July, the average oil production reached 947,147 bpd while natural gas reached 9,291 mmscfd,? he said, adding that the total oil production in July reached 2,601,967 barrels.

?The average oil production during the first semester of this year is still lower than the oil production reference of 965,000 bpd stated in the 2010 state budget. But the average gas production which reached 8,865 mmscfd in July has already exceeded the gas production target of 7,758 mmscfd in the state budget. (godang)
