Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro said Sunday that the government was seeking a crude processing deal with Caltex?s refinery facility in Singapore in a bid to increase domestic fuel supply.

Purnomo told Petromindo.com that the initial negotiation had been started and a final deal was expected soon.

He said that the move was a diversification strategy as in the past the crude processing deal was only made with Shell.

?Now we?re negotiating with Caltex,? he said.

Purnomo did not say the price for the crude processing deal.(Godang)
