RI seeks to get crude supply from Algeria

Indonesia is seeking to import crude oil from Algeria as feedstock for the planned fuel refinery to be developed by the government.
Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources A. Eddy Hermantoro on Monday met with Algerian officials in Algeria to seek for better cooperation in the oil and gas area between the countries, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Wednesday.
?This (planned import) is intended for long-term supply to support the Indonesian energy security,? Eddy said. No details about the planned import were given.
