RI, Vietnam sign MoU on energy, mineral resources

Indonesian energy and mineral resources ministry and the ministry for industry and trade of the Republic of Socialist Vietnam on Friday reached a deal on a cooperation in energy and mineral resources sector.

Deputy Energy Minister and Mineral Resources Susilo Siswoutomo and Nguyen Cam Du deputy minister for Industry and trade Republic Socialist of Vietnam signed the MoU on the deal at Kempinski hotel in Jakata.

"We certainly will follow up all possible opportunities that will help Indonesia firms develop further, not only remain as masters at own home," said Susilo after the signing.

"Vietnam wants some kind of collaboration on various mineral resources and also on coal," he also said.

Indonesia also offers training for Vietnamese officials, said Susilo.
