Riau administration appoints PT SPR to manage MFK block

Riau provincial administration has appointed PT Sarana Pembangunan Riau (SPR) to manage Mountain Front Kuantan (MFK) oil and gas block in the near future, the Bisnis Indonesia newspaper reported in its Friday edition.
The MFK block, which produces 500 barrels of oil per day, is located in Rokan Hulu and Kampar regencies. It is now still being managed by PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia, but whose contract over the block will soon be expired.
The paper did not provide details about SPR, except that the company had so far been involved mainly in construction business.(*)
