Riau coalmining to commence production next year

Riau coal mining firm PT.Riau Bara Harum is scheduled to commence commercial production late next year, aiming to sell its production to Malaysian power plant operator Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

A company official Hiu Kirtiadi told Petromindo.Com that firt year output is set at 500,000 tons, ramping up to peak production of 1 MTPA in the following years.

Kirtiadi said despite aiming to sell its coal to TNB, Riau Bara Harum has not yet any coal supply deal with the company.

Riau Bara Harum is located in Indagiri Hulu regency. The scompany is sister company of East Kalimantan-based coalminer PT. Tanito Harum. (alex)
