Riau Green to develop biomass power plants

PT Riau Green Energy, a subsidiary of palm oil company Setpa Group, plans to develop several biomass-based power plants in Riau using oil palm waste materials as feedstock, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported on Thursday.
In the first stage, Riau Green will develop three power plants, each with a capacity of 10 MW in three regencies including Kampar, Rokan Hulu and Siak.
Riau Green on Wednesday signed an MoU with state-owned electricity firm PLN regarding the planned biomass power plant projects. (*)
