Riau Power begins operation of 20 MW gas-fired plant

PT Riau Power, an independent power producer owned by the provincial administration of Riau has officially begun the operation of its 1x20 MW gas-fired power plant in the province’s Teluk Lembu area, Neraca reported Thursday.

 

The company's president director Rida K. Liamsi said in Pekanbaru Wednesday that the operation of the new power plant would significantly cope with the shortage of power supply in the province.

 

PT Riau Power sells its electricity of Rp 123 per Kwh to state-owned electricity firm PLN, Rida said. (*)
