Rig Tender, CNOOC in talks for vessel contract

PT Rig Tenders Tbk and Chinese oil company CNOOC are in still talks to secure contract for the former to lease accommodation vessels for CNOOC?s exploration activities for 20 years, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported.

Rig president director Dick Sadikin said their negotiations with CNOOC focused on vessel lease price.

CNOOC is Indonesia?s largest offshore oil producer.

Dick said his company had signed similar contracts with other oil and gas companies like BP, UNOCAL, CONOCO and Premier Oil. He added Rig had leased vessels to transport coal produced by PT Adaro Indonesia and PT Arutmin Indonesia.

Rig owns 31 vessels, including three accommodation vessels and six barges. (*)
