Rig Tender has 70 units of tug and barge ready for use next year

IDX-listed PT Rig Tenders Indonesia Tbk will provide a total of 70 units of tug and barge for coal transportation next year, unchanged from this year.

?We shall add any unit to our coal fleet. As we know the coal market is not very good at present,? Muknizam Bin Mahmud, a director at the company, told Petromindo.com on Monday.

Some of the 70 units of tug and barge already have contracts for next year, he said, without specifying the number of contracted units.

?Our coal miner customers now are among others Adaro and Arutmin. Our contracts (with the coal miners) are valued at US$20 million for a contract period that last until the middle of next year,? he said.

He said the 70 units of tug and barge have the total capacity of 20 million tons per year.

While the firm will be focused on extending contracts with the existing buyers next year, it will also seek to expand to the oil and gas sector, he said.
