Rimau Group expanding barging fleet

Integrated coal mining company Rimau Group Coal is expanding its barging fleet to support its coal business in Central Kalimantan.

President Director Vinsensius told Petromindo.com the company has planned to purchase a total of 20 barges this year.

"We are buying barges with the capacity of 300 feet and 300 jumbo feet," he said adding that each unit costs about US$ 3.5 million.

He revealed that the company has budgeted US$ 200 million in capital expenditure (capex) in 2013. "Of the capex, about $70 million has been allocated for purchasing the barges," he said
