Rimau Group said that coal production in the first semester of this year from its two subsidiaries PT Rimau Energy Mineral (REM) and PT Senamas Energindo Mineral (SEM) in Barito Timur Regency, Central Kalimantan, reached 1 million tons, or half of the full-year target of 2 million tons.

Vinsensius, President Director of Rimau Group told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the output is in line with the company?s target.

He, however, added that the company sees a possibility to revise upward the output target this year amid recent signs of improving coal price.

?We will review the target if the price keeps increasing, but surely with consideration the readiness of the equipment and other factors,? he said, but did not provide further details.

Last year the company?s output was only 2 million tons, lower than 4.6 million tons in 2014.
