Central Kalimantan Coal miner Rimau Group has planned to build a coal terminal in South Kalimantan, the industrial source told Petromindo.Com recently.

The group will work with three or four national companies in the project. ?We?re now waiting for the issuance of the permit from the Ministry of Transportation to build the coal terminal,? the source said without giving further details on the project.

The new coal terminal?s throughput will be three times of PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT)?s throughput. ?The volume will be three times larger than that of IBT?s,? the source said.

IBT has a throughput capacity of 12 million tonnes a year. (denny)
