Integrated mining company Rimau Group plans to develop a mine mouth power plant with a capacity of 2x100 MW in East Barito regency, Central Kalimantan province.
?We have proposed this project to PLN (public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara), and are awaiting its response,? Vinsensius, President Director of Rimau Group told Petromindo.com on Friday
?Pre-feasibility study has been completed. While waiting for response from PLN, we are conducting feasibility study,? he said.
Vinsensius said that the company is ready to develop the project in terms of experience and financing, pointing out that the firm has developed and is now operating a mini mine-mouth power plant, a 2x3.5 MW one, in Tamiyang Layang, East Barito.
He refused to unveil the exact location where the power plant will be built. ?It will be neither at REM?s mine nor SEM?s mine. It will be built in another concession of ours but still in East Barito regency,? he said, referring to its mining units Rimau Energi Minereal and Senamas Energindo Mineral.
The concession has around 500 million resources of coal, Vinsensius said.
