Integrated mining corporation Rimau Group aims to boost coal output from its concessions in Central Kalimantan next year to 7 million tons from 4.6 million tons this year.
Vinsensius, President Director of Rimau Group told Petromindo.com that the company will increase the coal production significantly as there will be a new pit opened next year. ?From the new pit we are targeting about one million tons,? he said.
Rimau through subsidiaries PT Rimau Energy Mineral (REM) and PT Senamas Energindo Mineral (SEM) operates coal mines in Central Kalimantan. REM is expected to produce 1.2 million tons and SEM 3.4 million tons this year.
Vinsensius revealed that the company has set aside about US$10 million for capital expenditure in 2015. ?Mostly are allocated for operational cost and equipment maintenance,? he said, adding that the existing heavy equipment capacity owned by the company will be able to support the 7 million tons production target.
