Rimau Group is targeting to double the monthly coal production level of its subsidiary PT Rimau Energy Mining (REM), which operates coal concession in East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, by year end.

Vinsensius, President Director of Rimau Group, told Petromindo.com recently that Rimau Energy Mining has stable production level of about 75,000 tons per month.

"Before the year's end we will double the output to 150,000 tons per month. So in 2014, we expect to have 1.5 million tons from REM," he said, adding that the company has invested more on heavy equipment this year to support the mining activity.

Meanwhile, another Rimau's subsidiary PT Senamas Energindo Mineral currently runs stable production at the level of 400,000 tons per month. From this concession the company is targeting to increase its capacity up to 600,000 tons per month.

Vinsensius said the company has invested up to US$50 million on heavy equipment and opening of new pits.
