Integrated mining company Rimau Group plans to ramp up production in the second semester to meet its coal production target of two million tons this year from its mines in Barito Timur Regency, Central Kalimantan Province.
Vinsensius, President Director of Rimau Group told Petromindo.com on Friday that as of May, the company has only secured about 30 percent of the full-year output target from the mines run by subsidiaries Rimau Energi Mineral and Senamas Energindo Mineral.
?We are actually still on track but we are not satisfied with such realization (of production) because of the sudden heavy rain at the end of May,? he said.
He added that the company also plans to produce coal with higher calorific value in the fourth quarter of this year to be exported to India.
"We plan to produce higher CV coal for export market," he said.
