Rimau Group to soon operate power plant in C. Kalimantan

Coal mining company Rimau Group has set a target for its power plant project in Tamiang Layang, East Barito, Central Kalimantan, to start operation soon.

Jerry Tan, Director of Rimau Group told Petromindo.com that the power plant has the capacity of 7 MW.

"We expect to start the operation of the power plant in the second quarter of this year," Jerry explained, adding that the company has invested about US$ 15 million in developing the power plant.

"Currently, the phase of development is on the final stage," he said, adding that the electricity resulted will be used for powering the company's facilities in the mining site and also for the local community.
