Rimau Group to start C. Kalimantan coal production

Coal mining firm Rimau Group will start production from its Central Kalimantan mines early next year, a company official said on Friday.
Director Vincent (one name) told Petromindo.Com that the mine, which comprises of four mining licenses in Barito Timur regency, will start with production of 50,000 tonnes per month in the first year, ramping up to 300,000 tonnes per month the following years.
The group, which also owns Senamas Energindo Mulia mine in South Kalimantan, will sell part of its coal to state electricity firm PLN and to export market.
Vincent said the Barito Timur mine is estimated to have 200 million tonnes of coal reserves with CV vary from 5,100-5,800 kcal/kg (ADB).
Coal from the mine is loaded out at Barito river, which distance is about 30 kilometers from the mine.(denny)
