Rimau?s coal unit to double production

Central Kalimantan coal miner PT Senamas Energindo Mineral (SEM), a coal unit of Rimau Group targeted a 100 percent increase of production to 500,000 tons in 2013 from this year?s output projection of 240,000 tons from its Tamiang Layang mines, East Barito, an industrial source said.

To meet the target, the company which produced coal with CV of 5,300 ? 5,500 kcal/kg (adb) has purchased 30 units dump trucks. The company?s coal has total moistures 40 percent with low ash and low Sulphur.

The source said that the company shipped out 60 barges of size between 270 feet and 300 feet this month.

?We are also optimist that coal prices would be better next year,? the source told Petromindo.com.
