Rimau targets quadruple output

Coal miner, PT Senamas Energindo Mineral (Sem Coal) - a subsidiary of Rimau Group - unveiled plans to ramp up production up to 4 million tons in 2012 from last year's achievement figure of 1 million tons.

The company said that about 70 percent would be exported among others to India, China and Thailand with the remaining for domestic supply.

Sem Coal located in East Barito regency, Central Kalimantan produces coal of 3,800 kcal/kal (GAR) with low sulphur and low ash, the company said in its profile distributed at the Coaltrans Asia.
