Rinjani to boost output in 2013

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Rinjani Kartanegara is aiming to produce around 120,000-150,000 tons per month next year from current output of 60,000-80,000 tons per month, an industrial source told Petromindo.Com.

The mine which commenced production last year has signed five-year new mining contract worth US$209 million with Indonesian mining contractor PT Cipta Kridatama (CK), the business unit of PT ABM Investama Tbk.

The mine has a concession in Loa Janan sub district of Kutai Kartanegara regency within area of 1,933 hectare. The calorific value of the coal is 6300-6100 kcal/kg (ADB).
