Rio Tinto Indonesia gets new boss

Indonesian unit of Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto announced Tuesday the official appointment of Omar S. Anwar as President Director, replacing Mike Jolley who has held the position since 2005.

Anwar?s corporate focus will be the continuing development of the Rio Tinto Sulawesi Nickel Project in Central and Southeast Sulawesi, the company said.

Anwar has extensive experience as a corporate transformation expert and banker, including an almost nine-year posting at PT Bank Mandiri Tbk.(denny)
