Jakarta -- Following a meeting held between the community with Bupati Kutai Barat, Rama Alexander Asia, and the Tribal Chief of Dayak Tunjung Linggang, Yustinus Dullah, the blockade on the public access road from KEM mine site to Jelemuq port was reopened on Thursday 8 June.
Logistics deliveries have resumed since this morning and production is expected to start within three days once fuel stocks are restored to a minimum requirement for a normal operation.
KEM is still committed to settling the land claim issue and to the process of closing its mine by 2004.
