Robust appoints David King as new chairman

(02 February 2010)--Robust Resources Limited the Indonesian-based gold and base metal explorer is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr David King as Chairman to the Robust board.

Dr King is currently Non Executive Director of ASX listed Ausmon Resources Ltd, a founder and Non- Executive Director of ASX200 company Eastern Star Gas Ltd, and Chairman of Celimid Limited.

He has substantial minerals-related experience, having previously served as Managing Director of North Flinders Mines Ltd, and as a director of Minerals Corporation Ltd, Elmina NL, Spargos Mining NL, Hillgrove Gold Ltd and Sapex Ltd (now part of Linc Energy). Dr King is a geophysicist, holding a PhD degree from the Australian National University and an MSc from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College.

Dr King is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and Chartered Professional (Management); and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.

Robust Managing Director, Gary Lewis said: ?David brings to Robust a wealth of technical and corporate experience having served on many ASX listed company boards. Following the success of the 5,000 metre drilling program at the Lakuwahi Caldera gold project in Romang island, East Nusa Tenggara, the company plans to commence a 3D Induced Polarisation (IP)/Resistivity Survey in January 2010, which aims to detect and map base-metal sulphide mineralisation to a depth of between 300 and 400 metres over the majority of the Lakuwahi Caldera.

Robust began its Romang Island drilling program in November 2008. Drilling will continue with 3 rigs and a fourth rig will be added to the fleet in March, 2010. (*)
