Australian mining firm Robust Resources Limited said on Monday the final assay results of the driling of diamond hole LWD 051 confirm and extend the previously announced high-grade gold intersection at its Batu Mas prospect within the Lakuwahi Caldera on Romang Island, East Nusa Tenggara.

Final assay results for hole LWD 051 are as follows: 57.5 metres at 6.78 g/t Au equivalent (5.28 g/t Au and 90 g/t Ag) from 1.5 metres

Including: 27 metres at 9.36 g/t Au equivalent (8.57 g/t Au and 47 g/t Ag) from 3 metres, And: 15 metres at 217 g/t Ag and 3.31 g/t Au from 26 metres, And: 24 metres at 2.4% Pb from 29 metres

Robust Resources Managing Director Gary Lewis said, ?The initial assay results for Hole LWD 051 were already of such a high grade, so we were delighted when the final results not only confirmed, but extended this important intersection.?

?As previously mentioned, we are now ramping up exploration at Romang Island with the arrival of a fourth rig expected first quarter 2010 and the commencement of a 144-line kilometre high-resolution 3D IP Resistivity survey that will cover most of the Lakuwahi Caldera and provide more effective targeting of future drilling. Exploration work is also continuing at our other exciting prospects in the north,? the company said.

Robust has diamond drilled 44 holes to a total depth of 4172m at Lakuwahi Caldera Project and is on track to complete its target of 5,000m by year end. The drilling of an additional five holes have also been completed and assay results are impending. (denny)
