Hole LWD 026 was drilled 20m to the North of LWD 002 and intersected 51m @ 1.35g/t Au and 25g/t Ag (1.75g/t Au equivalent). LWD 0027 was drilled 40m to the North of LWD 026 and intersected 50.3m @ 1.08 g/t Au and 65.95g/t Ag (2.01 g/t Au equivalent), the company reported.
The earlier significant gold intersection hole LWD 002 of 44m @ 1.53 g/t Au and 27g/t Ag (1.91 g/t Au equivalent) from surface to 44m, reported from Biliton?s scout drilling programme between 1997 and 1999, it said.
Like LWD 002, both holes also intersected significant base metal zones (Lead, Zinc and Copper) beneath the precious metal zone, which extends to the end of all three holes. The base metal results are preliminary values at this stage and no Lead results have yet been returned from hole LWD 27.
Robust has now completed 1,076.65m of diamond drilling on the large (approximately 24 Km2) Lakuwahi Gold-Silver-base metal project on Romang Island, and is on track to complete its 2,500 metre program by June this year and a total of 5,000m by year end, it added. (denny)
